At Fibro-Connect-TS, we know how challenging fibromyalgia can be. The constant pain, fatigue, and brain fog can make even the simplest daily tasks feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to support our community and give people the chance to try different approaches that might help.
This week, we were excited to start our very first physiotherapy sessions with some of our members. The focus wasn’t on pushing through pain or doing anything too intense—instead, it was about gentle movement, relaxation, and building confidence in a safe and supportive space.
Why Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy can offer:
- Gentle movement – helping reduce stiffness and improve flexibility.
- Pain relief techniques – such as stretching or guided relaxation.
- Confidence in activity – breaking the cycle of fear that sometimes comes with fibro and movement.
It’s not a “quick fix” and we won’t know the full benefits until our group has had more time to take part, but it’s a positive step forward.
Early Feedback
The best part so far has been the feedback from our members. People told us they enjoyed the session, felt comfortable at their own pace, and appreciated having the chance to move in ways that felt safe and supported. For many, just being able to try something new in a group that understands fibromyalgia is a win in itself.
Moving Forward Together
Fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, and what works for one person might not work for another. But with physiotherapy, the aim isn’t to “fix” fibro—it’s to help manage symptoms, encourage gentle activity, and improve quality of life.
We’re looking forward to continuing these sessions, learning together, and seeing whether physiotherapy can become a valuable part of living well with fibromyalgia.
